DALLAS, June 11, 2019 — Children’s Health℠, the eighth-largest pediatric health care provider in the nation and the leading pediatric health care system in North Texas, proudly announces that Children’s Medical Center Dallas, the system’s flagship hospital, has once again been recognized among the nation’s best pediatric hospitals by U.S. News & World Report for 2019-2020. Children’s Medical Center Dallas is the only hospital in North Texas ranked in all 10 pediatric specialties in the annual “Best Children’s Hospitals” report, which is based on patient treatment outcomes.

The U.S. News & World Report rankings help patients better assess and decide where they choose to receive care. Children’s Health continues to garner national recognition as a system because of its world-renowned clinical programs, innovative technology and academic affiliation with UT Southwestern Medical Center — one of the premier academic medical centers in the nation.

To create the pediatric rankings, U.S. News & World Report gathers key clinical data from nearly 200 medical centers through a detailed survey that looks at measures such as patient safety, infection prevention and adequacy of nurse staffing. In addition, part of each hospital’s score is derived from surveys of more than 11,000 pediatric specialists who are asked where they would send the sickest children in their specialty.
