DALLAS, Sep 19, 2013 — Children’s Medical Center Dallas, the fifth-largest pediatric hospital in the U.S., announced it has named David Eager senior vice president and chief financial officer (CFO).
In this role, Eager is responsible for the overall financial management of the organization with a direct responsibility for accounting, capital planning, budgets, patient business services, revenue cycle, finance and business analytics.
In addition to his other responsibilities, Eager will also assess the financial impact of changes in reimbursement, changing patterns of hospital service and utilization while working in collaboration with Ray Dziesinski, senior vice president and chief treasury officer.
David brings a wealth of experience and insight to our executive team,” says Christopher J. For the past two years, Eager served as senior vice president and CFO at Legacy Health in Portland, OR. He was responsible for the overall financial performance and financial strategy for the integrated health care system, which was comprised of six hospitals, 400 employed providers and more than 9,400 employees.
Prior to joining Legacy Health, Eager served in multiple senior financial positions throughout a 20-year tenure at Aurora Health Care in Milwaukee, WI. While there, he implemented growth strategies and improvements in core business processes, including revenue cycle, labor management, supply chain and capital planning for hospitals, physician clinics, retail pharmacies and home health.
Eager holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Science from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. He also served in the United States Peace Corps as a cooperative rural bank volunteer in the Philippines from 1980-1982.
